Matchmaker, Matchmaker

Follow Friday is something a lot of folks participate in on Twitter. The idea is to recommend folks to other people.

The problem I find is that people recommend their friends without thinking about whether or not I'll actually have anything in common with them. It's like a bad blind date.

There are lots of people on Twitter who I follow that I don't necessarily think you'd like to follow. This is why I don't do Follow Friday.

Which makes me a bit of a jerk.

I'd like to change that today, but rather than just tell you who my friends are, I'd like to personalize it to your tastes.

In the comments, tell me what you're interested in. What type of person do you like to hear about? Do you want a laugh, or someone who makes you think? Are you in to tech? Sports? Christianity?

Leave a link to your Twitter page as well. If you're not on Twitter, I'll make blog recommendations instead. Leave a link to your blog if you have one.

I'll answer everyone who comments in a post on Friday.

Step right up!

First off your post for Kevin was brilliant! Second off I like to follow funny people that make me think about tech, sports, and Christianity. My twitter name is @robshep.
Been awhile since I've been on your blog...or any blog...so I'll be interested to see your suggestions. =) I like your idea of asking for feedback! I like funny, even if I'm not always that funny, and I like inspirational stuff. @tjcapalla, teejay82.tumblr.com, peanutbuttercupmoment.tumblr.com
My Twitter is @jack and I think my blog is at huffpo or something. Also, I may still be asleep.
I'm with you. I think #FF is stoooopid. It's lists of names and I NEVER ever click on any of them. Ever.

I like to read about rainbows and unicorns and princesses.

But that is shallow and it will rot your brain.

I try to go deeper.

So mostly I read US magazine and stuff about Justin Bieber and the Kardashians.

*cough cough*

Baby, you know what I like.
Ricky, I'm into a number of things: fiction, non-fiction, Christianity, humor, blogging, and butterscotch flavored terra cotta siding.

I'm @randomlychad

;-)
I like someone who can combine humor and insight for Christian living.
And long walks on the beach.
I'm at @larryhehn and http://larryhehn.com
I have never sent a "text" in my life. It is part of the counterculture that is me. Thus, I will not tweet. Not in a box, not with a fox.
I'm interested in red carpet fashion (who isn't?), charitable giving that makes me look fresh and hip, and advice for bunion sufferers with Olympic Speed Walking aspirations. I like humor and 2 Sheds and it's just a flesh wound. My handle is @RamblingBarba

I like twitter accounts named @sgtwolverine. OH WAIT THAT'S ME. Hold on. I DON'T like twitter accounts named @sgtwolverine. I like twitter accounts NOT named @sgtwolverine.

Do you like how I managed to fit @sgtwolverine in there three times? WAIT. FOUR. I am a marketing genius. It's too bad I'm not selling anything.

Anyway. I like the funny. @chrchcurmudgeon makes me laugh. There should be more twitter accounts like that and fewer twitter accounts that talk about things that aren't funny like politics and Dane Cook.
I like to hear about people who are doing things differently, or at least with a creative spin on things. I also like people who make roller-coaster rides in their backyards. My Twitter is @StephenHaggerty because I am thoughtful.
I really like the way you spun Follow Friday. You are a creative man. Thanks!

Aside from teacher/math blogs, I probably don't have any recommendations that you don't know about. You are, after all, one of the two team captains for the All Star Blogging Challenge. Don't think I can beat someone who has risen to that level in the blogosphere. =)
